Cargo Human Care Medical Centre
The Cargo Human Care Medical Centre was opened in February 2009 and is affiliated to the Mothers’ Mercy Home orphanage.
It serves to provide medical care both for the MMH children as well as for people living in the neighbourhood who do not have access to medical attention.
Currently, around 2,000 patients are treated each month. The Centre is continuously staffed with medically trained, local staff and this means continuous care for the patients is available.
German doctors with different specialisations regularly treat acute illnesses locally. The specialists work for free for those who cannot afford such medical help. A team of doctors consisting of 2 doctors with different specialisations work 3-4 days in the Cargo Human Care Medical Centre, several times a month.
